The European Rugby Champions Cup, also known as the Heineken Champions Cup, is an annual top-tier competition for clubs whose countries’ national teams compete in the Six Nations. Clubs qualify for the Heineken Champions Cup via their final positions in their respective national/regional leagues (Premiership, TOP 14, and Pro14) or via winning the second-tier Challenge Cup. Those who do not qualify are instead eligible to compete in the second-tier European Rugby Challenge Cup. Leinster are the current holders of the title, having won their fourth title by beating Racing 92 in the 2018 final. Leinster Rugby and Toulouse have both won the competition a record four times.
